Linking to the WriteSite

You can create a link to the WriteSite from a web page or from your website in the learning management system (LMS).

The sections below describe:

  • linking to the WriteSite from the learning management system (LMS)
  • downloading a WriteSite logo for use in your website.

Add a link to the WriteSite from the LMS

  1. Login to the LMS and go to your unit of study website.
  2. In the course menu, select where you wish to put the link (e.g. 'Web Links'). Click on the link to that page.
  3. Click the 'Build Content' button and select 'URL'.
  4. For Name, add 'WriteSite'.
  5. Paste the following address into the URL box
  6. For Open in New Window, select 'Yes'.
  7. Click 'Submit'.

The WriteSite logos

If you have a website that is not in the LMS, you may use these logos in creating a link to the WriteSite.

To download the logos:

  • on a PC, right click on the link and choose 'Save Target As'
  • on a Mac, right click on the link and choose 'Save Link As'.
