Read the following essay question and make sure you understand what it is asking you to do.


'There is no point sitting around waiting for others to 'do something' about poverty in the world. Poverty is a matter for all of us. If we each took responsibility for what we can do to prevent it, it would cease to exist.' (Highland 2001, p.17)
